RECIPROCAL MODEL  / EXPERIMENT ONE

This model presents a system of three floor plates and a base, each with the same, rational grid etched into them such that a series of acrylic panels could be inserted in order to produce a structural system with walls along predefined X and Y axes to absorb horizontal forces. Experimental variations of the system allow the floor plates to rotate independently of the predefined axes and vary their vertical arrangement but still ensure they are adequately supported by the panels.
