EQUILIBRIUM MODEL / EXPERIMENT EIGHT

Interested in creating a system in which all elements are interdependent, we decided to play with a simple structure consisting of tensile cable, ball and irregular-shaped chopsticks to reach equilibrium. We made shallow notches on the base so that the chopsticks will not slip yet cannot stand on its own.

First three models see the stress ball as a medium without which the whole system would collapse. The variations are based on the connective joints between the ball and the chopsticks, which are faces, points and the combination of both. The other three models regard the wooden ball as weight and we vary the angles and distance between chopsticks.
