EQUILIBRIUM MODEL / EXPERIMENT SEVEN

In this project we investigated the idea of opposing tensile and compressive forces by varying the number of supporting structures as well as the angle of supports and the rectangular platform. The platform either rotates horizontally or vertically and this is accompanied by changes in direction and number of forces acting on it. We used cables to balance those changes in angles and direction of compressive forces to keep the model in equilibrium. The iterations go from an inverted pyramid with four supports to a vertical platform with a single support.
