The concept behind our model is supporting weight/surfaces by a seemingly fragile structure. We focused on rearranging three sticks and aggregating applied load elements onto each structural variation.
Our process of constructing the equilibrium model began by carving a wooden base using the table saw. We formed an irregular grid that presents multiple possibilities of detail placement. Everything else was precisely measured and modelled virtually. Wooden sticks fit the grid serving as supporting elements. They fall onto each other from opposite directions, ensuring balance. Notches along the sticks secure them in different positions.
