EQUILIBRIUM MODEL / EXPERIMENT TWELVE

The structural concept revolves around identical, interlocking planes, which when assembled become individual abstract objects. These identical objects can interchange roles of embodying compression forces and subjecting themselves to tensile forces. The various positions are made possible due to the interlocking edge conditions. These edge conditions allow the objects to interact with each other when the string is looped through, causing an equilibrium between the objects under tension. If one string were pulled from the structure, the entire assembly would collapse. The occurrence is a codependent network, contingent on each piece to secure the whole.
