Inspired by the works of Frank Gehry, our group created a series of canopy structure by folding and cutting 24 cm square Bristol. The folding curves are based on two, three, and four corners of the square, functioning as supporting edges of the structure. Secured with strings, we centered the corners to their extreme in order to form the most three-dimensional spaces. For variations four to six, we experimented with the base of variation one to three by eliminating some of the edges and opening some scored curves, further exploring the extreme forms with less materials and more openings.
