HANGING MODEL / EXPERIMENT ONE
The project explored how to systematize the form finding of a catenary dome by manipulating the shape of the hanging model as well as the placement of its supports. It used a gridded system for the supports and three different “net” sizes, one regular, one large, and one with lengths that were a gradient from one side to the other.
