HANGING MODEL / EXPERIMENT SIX
The hanging models explore form-creation through the spatial and structural interplay between tulle fabric, acrylic, string, and LED lights. Across iterations, connection points between string and the acrylic grid follow a diagonal trajectory, while variations are organized into three sets of two, varying the location and quantity of connection points, loads, and arches: (1) two connection points, two weights, one arch; (2) three connection points, two weights, two arches; (3) four connection points, three weights, three arches. Light is both a structural (i.e. added loads) and representational element (i.e. illumination), conceiving formal expressions of lightness and transiency.
