For our project, we were interested in exploring how we could create and apply a controlled system to understand better how manipulating different sections of a membrane can affect space both within each membrane and between them. To conduct our project, we took on a more systematic approach by identifying and studying 3 stages of intersection: meet, push, and break. These three stages are created by varying the amount of force applied and the relationship between two stacked membranes.
