RECIPROCAL MODEL / EXPERIMENT ONE

In this project we aimed to integrate both our previous concept of tensegrity with the new goal of reciprocal elements by arranging a series of rectangular prisms in various formations using fishing wire to create tension and achieve equilibrium whilst utilizing a reciprocal frame. This concept has been theorized as ‘rection’ and we explored this in this assignment. We cut the rectangular prisms to be 12 inches long and used the fishing wire to adjust the tension in the lines.

Our first variation model serves as a base configuration in which we use recurrent reciprocal relationships to create more complex variations when adding more pieces.
