RECIPROCAL MODEL / EXPERIMENT EIGHT

Aiming to achieve a reciprocal structure in which its structural logic follows our previous model, we design a simple module that interlocks and makes the structure tilt in one direction.
Then we add strings that pull the modules in the opposite direction, stopping the model from collapse.

In each variation, every module except the top piece is pulled by the string, and the top piece works as weight. As we keep adding additional pieces, it gets harder to make all the modules parallel to the board since either the tension by the string exceeds the force provided by the weight or the extension gets too far from the starting point. Therefore, we need to move our pieces around to make the entire system stand.
