Our 12”x12” base has been modeled to suspend 3 kinds of platforms modeled after the original 6”x6” platform of the equilibrium model: one 6”x6” platform, one 4”x6” platform, and five 2”x6” platforms. The columns used in this project are 12” tall, and allow for the project to continue being built higher and higher. The 1” notches in the column allow for structural rigidity and consistency. We used “columns” of smaller length and tensile “cables” within the suspended system to add more platforms while maintaining structural stability.
