Using our reciprocal model study as a launching point, we further explored how elements can be hung in tension with the overall goal of articulating space through an architectural structural system. Addressing the issues we faced in our last model – precarious balance points and unwanted rotational forces – we designed a joint that allowed for four points of contact, instead of one, to stabilize and secure the hanging floor plates.
