Capitalizing on the reliability of a single system- a horizontal plane in compression with an angled post creating tension- this project presents the opportunity for a near endless combination of system arrangements. Perhaps it is best fit to live on a coffee table somewhere because of its elegant, game-like quality. Restricting ourselves to only six modulations exposed new opportunities in “bridging” six systems across the base plane and creating infinite opportunities to address the above condition. While we chose to engage in the idea of creating a bridge, the underlying principles remain constant in understanding the center of gravity and consequently the corresponding sizes of planes.
