In response to the equilibrium assignment, we created a prototype module by repeating a single rectangular element, each measuring 5” x 1.37”. The element features two angular notches in its center, with two smaller notches located at both ends. The notches at the ends accommodate tension cords — represented by yarn — connecting multiple pieces together. The final sequence of configurations illustrate the interaction between compression and tension forces by integrating three rectangular elements into a singular component.
