In our hanging model, we found form through variation in both crochet structure and added weight through water. The subtlety of this process, while not yielding dramatically dierent forms, allowed us to analyze tensile forces at many scales and gain a specific understanding of the material and its structural implications. Tension at the scale of the yarn, stitch, and fabric each contributed to the geometry as well as the concept of porosity in our model, evoking movement and flexibility that became an integral part of the program housed in our compression model.
