This project creates a dynamic shade structure inspired by the Serpentine Pavilion, using interconnected 30°–60°–90° triangles. The design is framed with wooden dowels and supported by three small socket joints, forming a flexible, geometric structure. Infills attached to the frames adjust the density of shading, transitioning from loose light to concentrated areas with minimal penetration. The system’s adaptability allows frames to reposition, responding to sunlight and changing environmental factors. This iteration refines structural integrity by optimizing materiality, weight-load distribution, and frame connections. The result is a lightweight, adaptable shade structure that balances form and function for responsive shading.
