PROCESS
Our initial form finding began with loose fabric and how it responded to tension and gravity. We observed how the fabric created curves. We started to consider different programs, such as a concert hall or convention center. Studying catenary curves led to a hexagon base that allowed groups of three or six. A smaller hexagon created a center point, and C-clamps controlled the curves. The final forms suggested a concert hall, a farmer's market stand for three to six vendors, and a pavilion, creating an inviting form with more usable space.
