This project explores compression-driven spatial form through a custom-designed chain–membrane system. Each repeatable module forms a semi-rigid loop secured by a screw-like connector and a secondary hook, allowing directional coupling and controlled force transmission. A calibrated perforation pattern establishes measurable attachment points, enabling variation in density and hierarchy without altering the unit itself.
Suspended within a 7×7 perforated bounding box, the system transitions between structural states by relocating anchoring points. As support migrates from top-only suspension to side engagement and chain-to-chain dependency, the assembly unfolds from compact catenary pockets into expanded lattice fields, allowing gravity to generate form through shifting constraint.
