This project relies on the translation of linear elements (as seen in our previous project) to planar membranes. By extracting faces of geometry from our previous project- most commonly understood as triangles- we established a series of six modules that involve the process of layering triangular membranes. As the project moves through different modules, a new and centralized geometry emerges with greater clarity. Inspired by the simple complexity of spirographs, this project emphasises geometrical findings that are harmonious to the linearity that we so heavily relied upon in our earlier form finding activities. It is because of the aesthetics of linearity in our previous exercise that create planar geometry; held exclusively in tension, the tulle acts as a vessel for articulating these planar membranes.
