This project explores a dynamic shade structure based on triangular geometries with angles of 30°, 60°, and 90°. Each large triangular panel is composed of smaller triangles that alternate between open and closed forms, creating varying densities of shade. The panels connect through acrylic dowels that secure the components and attach to a central wooden cylinder, which acts as the axis of rotation. As the panels pivot and overlap, the system produces shifting patterns of light and shadow. Iterations tested different shading possibilities, revealing how rotation, layering, and reciprocal forces of compression and tension create a balanced, adaptable, and responsive architectural structure.
